Workleap Onboarding is meant to work in concert with your Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) which is why we support over 50 different HRIS. Connecting Workleap Onboarding to an HRIS can streamline your newcomer plan creations. Newcomers entered into a connected HRIS will automatically propose to create a plan in Workleap Onboarding so that you don’t forget!

Set up your integration

All HRIS integrations can be set up by first navigating to Settings in the left menu and selecting Integrations.

Scroll down to the HRIS section. Click the HRIS that you want to connect. If you don’t see it in the original list, click View all for more HRIS options.

Click Connect for the desired HRIS.

Each HR system will have a slightly different authentication process, requiring you to sign in or verify your HRIS account. Once you have verified your HRIS account and given Workleap Onboarding permission to access it, Workleap Onboarding will start to sync the employee information.

Syncing employee information can take anywhere from 5-30 minutes.

View upcoming hires

The integration with HRIS systems pulls a list of newcomers starting soon and proposes plans for them in Workleap Onboarding. When newcomers are detected in your HRIS, you will receive a notification redirecting you to the Onboarding page where you can create their plan.

On the Onboarding page, select Upcoming hires.

The plan will include the newcomer's name, title, manager, and start date without you having to manually enter the information again!

Click Create plan to start adding to the newcomer’s plan. If you click Dismiss, the newcomer plan will be removed from the list.

User provisioning changes

After you set up an HRIS system with Workleap Onboarding, you will also see that system as an option under the User provisioning section. For example, if you connect BambooHR you will see BambooHR underneath User sync as an option.

For more information about User sync, see the article User sync integrations.
