A resource is a file or link attached to an activity in Workleap Onboarding. Resources are helpful for providing additional information to a newcomer, things such as HR Manuals and training videos make excellent resources.

Resource features

1. File or link

This is where the file is attached or a URL link is entered for a resource. If you use a URL link, you’ll have the option to update the file preview so that the display is accurate. Click Replace to change the link or file.

2. Title

This is the name of the resource in Workleap Onboarding.

3. Introduction

This is a space for a resource to be explained. You can record clips or request a clip from a teammate for a resource. You can also write out an explanation of the resource in the right text box.

4. Tags

Tags help you organize and quickly find resources in Workleap Onboarding. Tags are one of the values you can sort by on the Resources page. When you click in the field you’ll see a list of existing tags to choose from. To create a new tag, type the desired words and then hit the Enter key. You can have multiple tags for a resource and remove tags with the X next to the tag name.

5. Preview

If your resource is a link, and you have integrated your cloud storage you’ll see a preview of the file here. This is how the file will appear in activities.

6. Used in these activities

Here you can see at a glance what activities a resource is used in. You can click an activity title to open up that activity and the plan it is in.
