Sometimes the best person to explain something for an activity is another teammate. For example, you might want the head of the department to record a clip welcoming a new employee aboard or an IT technician doing a brief overview on internet security. In Workleap Onboarding you can easily request a clip from a teammate from within an activity checklist.

Remember, clips are meant to be short recordings. More information about clips can be found in our article Recording clips.

Request a clip

In a checklist item, click the button to Request clips.

A popup will open where you can add a Custom message explaining to your teammates why you are requesting a clip and what you hope they’ll include in it.

Above the message, you can look up teammates by their name or their email.

If you need clips from more than one teammate, you can continue to add more! You can remove a teammate by clicking the X next to their name if you add one by mistake.

When you’re done, click Send. Your request for a clip will be sent to every teammate listed as both an email and an activity to complete on their Home page. All a teammate has to do is open the request and they’ll be able to record a clip for the activity!

See the result

When a teammate records a requested clip, you will receive a notification in your daily reminder email. You will also be able to open the activity and see the new clip in the checklist!
