To help you get started with Workleap Onboarding and build the best onboarding plan for your newcomers, we’ve created activities and templates for inspiration!
In a plan calendar view, you can see all of our activities and templates in the left menu. Simply click between the two tabs to see the options for each.
Activities
Activities for inspiration are organized by categories. Click one of the categories to see all of the activities that we think could be helpful to you!
Select all the activities you want and click on Add activities to add them into your plan! Notice that activities for inspiration all have a role to assign the activity to. Once you add the activity to your plan, whatever teammate has that role, will be assigned that activity.
Once added to your plan, you can edit and manage an activity for inspiration just like any other activity. See more information about activities in our article Manage activities.
Templates
The available templates are easy to see in the right menu along with the number of activities included in a template. This area will include our templates for inspiration as well as any custom templates you make for your organization!
When you select a template, you will be asked to assign teammates to the different roles. This lets you quickly assign all of the activities in the template. If you’re not ready to assign roles yet, you can click Skip and just add the activities to your plan unassigned.
You can add more than one template to a plan. All the activities from a template will be added to a plan without removing any activities you may have already added. In this way, you can utilize multiple templates that might be for different stages of an onboarding process. For example, maybe you have a template for general pre-arrival activities that every new employee must complete and then another template with pre-arrival activities that are unique to new IT personnel. You could add both templates to a new plan and have the entire pre-arrival experience for a new IT employee ready to go!
