Welcome! Workleap Onboarding is here to help you succeed in your new role. Your journey with us will start with an invitation email that contains a simple log-in link. When you follow that link, you’ll be brought to your personal onboarding plan in Workleap Onboarding!

In this article, we’re going to walk you through the basics of using your plan to make onboarding fun and easy.

What does this article cover?

Your home page

As soon as you log into Workleap Onboarding, you’ll be on your home page, which contains all the things necessary to help you get started in your new role.

On the left, you can see a list of every activity assigned to you. On the right, you can see the goals you need to reach, the people who will help you get started, and all the resources you need.

Activities

Activities are tasks that you need to complete as part of your plan, and help you settle in! Once you click on an activity, you can see all the information you need to complete the task. We’ll do a quick overview of what you need to know about activities.

1. Activity title

This is at the top of the activity and is what you’ll recognize as the activity name on your home page.

2. Intro

This area may contain text or a clip with extra information about what this activity is about.

3. Checklist

The checklist area contains items that you need to do, as well as resources and clips for you to review or use. Resources are attachments, or links, that you can click to open the needed material. When you have completed an item, click the checkbox to the right!

4. Clips and resources

Checklists can include clips and resources. A clip is a short audio or video recording that might appear in an activity. Click to listen to or view the clip and find out what you need to know. A resource can be any other file type, such as an image or document. You’ll see a thumbnail of any attached resources that you can click to open the file in another tab.

5. Assigned to

This section is where you see who is assigned to an activity to complete. One or more teammates can be assigned to an activity, they will all receive a notification when an activity is assigned to them.

6. Starts on

This is the start date and time of the activity. It can also contain a due date if it is different than the start date.

7. Join meeting

If the activity involves a virtual meeting, you can click to open the video conference link.

8. Contact

Here is the contact for the activity. This means that any feedback left on an activity or questions on an activity will be sent to the contact person.

9. React to an activity

At the bottom of every activity is a section where you can leave feedback. There are preset reactions to the activity to let the contact person know how you’re faring and if you need any help. You can also ask questions or leave a comment.

Mark an activity complete

When you’ve finished all the tasks required in an activity, it’s time to mark it complete! When you open an activity, there is a checkbox next to the activity title. Click that checkbox to mark an activity complete.

This will automatically mark all checklist items complete and change the status of an activity to done.

Goals

Goals are important milestones that you need to reach as part of your plan. They are always visible in your plan, so you can keep them top of mind. Once you click on a goal, you can see all the information you need to complete it.

People

Everyone involved in your onboarding is in the people section. You can click on View all to see a list of everyone, including their picture, title, role and contact information. You can click on the email, Slack or Teams icon to contact them directly.

Resources

If you need to find a file or link quickly, you can head to the resources section. Click on View all to see a list of all the resources in your activity for easy access. Click on the button beside the name of the resource to open the link or download the file.

Now go ahead and get started on your first activity!
